Hi, I'm Priya (she/her) *
I'm a Theatre Director proud to be born and bred in Brum.
I especially love working in contemporary Musical Theatre,,and on or alongside the development of new musicals.
I am experienced associating and assisting on ambitious productions at venues such as The National Theatre, Regent's Park, and the Almeida, and in 2024 was Resident Assistant Director at Shakespeare's Globe.
I am fiercely passionate about diversity and representation in the industry, and this is always at the heart of my practice, inspiring both the type of work I want to engage with and the way I lead a rehearsal process.
I love female-led narratives, stories about communities, the challenges of adaptation when approaching a historically set show, and championing untold stories. Playfulness is at the core of my artistic values.
As an Associate, I'm skilled in working on ambitious productions with large ensemble companies, working on new writing and new MT, rehearsing understudies, and working with children and young performers, and on musicals for family audiences.
*I have a First Class degree in Drama, but zero website-making qualifications.
