Hi, I'm Priya (she/her)

 

I'm a Theatre Director proud to be born and bred in Brum.

​

I especially love working in contemporary Musical Theatre, and on or alongside the development of new musicals. 

 

I am experienced associating and assisting on ambitious productions at venues such as The National Theatre, Regent's Park, the Almeida, and Birmingham REP. 

​

I am fiercely passionate about diversity and representation in the industry, and this is always at the heart of my practice, inspiring both the type of work I want to engage with and the way I lead a rehearsal process.

 

I love female-led narratives, the challenges of adaptation when approaching a historically set show, and championing untold stories. 

​

As an AD, I'm particularly skilled working on ambitious productions with large ensemble companies, rehearsing in understudies, and working with children and young performers.

​

I have a First Class degree in Drama, but zero website-making qualifications.
